ICEfaces at WebBuilder2.0
We will be presenting two talks at the WebBuilder2.0 conference next week
providing details on some of the leading edge enhancements in ICEfaces.Ajax on mobile devices is rapidly becoming more interesting and more practical. Indeed, with Safari on the iPhone, the challenges for mobile Ajax are entirely the challenges determined by the physical constraints, rather than artificial software constraints present on the majority of other mobile devices.
Supporting Ajax in a portal environment is an interesting problem because of the high degree of virtualization seen by Portlets. Portlets must cooperate with each other within a single web page, requiring them to share the connection to the server and any other resources on the page (such as JavaScript). ICEfaces now contains a number of features for running in a Portal environment.
Both Steve and I will be available at the conference to answer any ICEfaces questions you might have.
